Why Loves & Fishes Family Kitchen?
The whole concept of a ‘Turkey Trot’ is to burn off some extra calories to make room for the big thanksgiving meal. Sadly, the reality is that not everyone gets the luxury of enjoying a big meal on Thanksgiving.
So let’s walk together to not just burn off OUR meal, but PROVIDE one for someone else too!
Whats New this Year?
After last years success, we are back at it again with a few new twists! This year the main difference is that we will be accepting and encouraging local businesses and families to become event sponsors! As an event sponsor you will get your business or family name on the back of everyone who buys a Turkey Trot 5k T-Shirt! It’s a great opportunity to do some advertising and or find a way to donate more to a great cause. Even better, all T-Shirt sponsorships will be paid directly to the charity, which we are able to guarantee 501(c)(3) forms for so you can ensure you get a tax write off!

In the event that we SELL OUT of our limited number of Sponsor spots, we will transition to a banner option for even more sponsorships!

Saturday, November 23rd at 9:30am & 10:30am
There will be a morning heat (9:30am) which is reserved for competitive runners or those interested in testing themselves who plan to run the whole time. There will be a late morning heat (10:30am) for those who aren’t sure about if they want to run, or plan to walk with family or friends and don’t want to compete for a time.

Why do it at all?
Exercise, Fun & for a Good Cause!
Last year we raised over $900 and were able to provide nearly 200 meals to those in need!
Not only is run/walking a 5k a great exercise event, an organized Turkey Trot is a fun time to get together with friends and family and burn some calories during a time of year where we are mostly gaining calories thanks to the holidays. Take the opportunity to get an extra workout in, bring a friend and know that your registration is being donated to help feed the hungry in your community!
We have also partnered with Loaves and Fishes Family Kitchen who will be our donation recipient for all registration and T-Shirt sales profits for the entire event. Rest assured your registration fee is going to a great cause! Learn more about this local kitchen here.

If you can’t make the event for whatever reason, or simply don’t want to walk the 5k (I would HOPE everyone wants to!) That is perfectly okay and there is another option for you. You can donate ANY amount, via the direct donation link below. You will get a 501(3)(c) form after as well!

T-SHIRTS PURCHASED AFTER 11/13/2024 WILL STILL BE FULFILLED BUT MAY NOT BE DONE IN TIME FOR THE EVENT, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS TIME CUT-OFF.
All profits are to be donated to charity! Each T-shirt provides 4 hot meals to someone in need in our community!

*Shirts are also DRI-FIT for a much nicer feel and more athletic wear. Assume sizing the same as last year, but expect no shrinking with washing.
